nicos receives ISO 14001 certification
Münster, February 2025. nicos AG, based in Münster, Westphalia, is proud to announce that the company has successfully completed ISO 14001 certification. nicos AG already introduced a comprehensive sustainability strategy internally in 2020. Now it is going one step further and using official seals to demonstrate this approach to the outside world too.

The audit for ISO 14001 certification took place in several phases. First, a comprehensive self-assessment of the environmental management system was carried out in order to check all relevant processes and measures for their sustainability. This was followed by an intensive on-site audit, during which an independent auditor checked the implementation and effectiveness of the defined environmental objectives and processes on site. Particular attention was paid to continuous improvement, compliance with legal requirements and responsibility towards employees and the environment.
nicos' commitment is the result of the continuous work of a dedicated environmental management team, contributors from all sustainability-relevant departments and the Corporate Identity (CI) department, which anchored the Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy in the company almost five years ago.
During the certification process, the auditor emphasized that the audit was not the start of a sustainable path for nicos AG, but that the majority of the requirements had already been met through self-drive and deeply rooted internal processes - voluntarily, without reporting obligations. This commitment is the result of the continuous work of a dedicated environmental management team, contributors from all sustainability-relevant departments and the Corporate Identity (CI) department, which anchored the Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy in the company almost five years ago.
nicos AG has managed to promote and establish its sustainable working methods in all relevant areas - a decisive step in view of the increasing requirements resulting from the legal framework and the growing responsibility that companies are assuming for the future. This includes both internal implementation and the expectations and requirements within the supply chains.
